Emilee & Michael’s Cider Mountain wedding in Athol, Idaho

Some weddings feel like they’re meant to be. Emilee and Michael’s day at Cider Mountain on August 9, 2025, was one of those weddings where everything - faith, family, and fun - came together in the most beautiful way. From the very beginning, I knew these two were special. They’re down-to-earth, full of joy, and deeply grounded in their faith. Honestly, God always brings me the most perfect clients, and Emilee and Michael are a shining example of that.

Emilee & Michael’s Cider Mountain wedding was full of love, faith, and family. See their heartfelt first looks and golden hour portraits

First Looks with Family

One of the most moving parts of the day came before the ceremony. Emilee chose to do a first look with her dad, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. But then she had a surprise planned that nearly took my breath away—a first look with her grandma. Her grandmother has been bravely battling cancer, and there was so much uncertainty about whether she’d be able to attend. To witness them share that moment together was beyond powerful. The day was all about Emilee and Michael, yet moments like these showed how family love beautifully surrounds and uplifts their story.

A Ceremony Led by Family

Family didn’t just surround Emilee and Michael on the wedding day—it guided the ceremony itself. Emilee’s grandpa had the honor of officiating, and her other grandpa led the prayer. It was intimate, heartfelt, and so personal, making their vows even more meaningful. The sense of faith and family woven into the ceremony is something I’ll never forget.

The Bridal Party

Their bridal party and family set the tone for the whole day: supportive, fun, and completely there to celebrate Emilee and Michael. Every hug, every cheer, every inside joke—it was clear this was a group that didn’t just show up, they showed up wholeheartedly.
