Planning a Coeur d’Alene Elopement or Micro-Wedding?

Which type of wedding is right for you

Do you want a small wedding but are not sure what the difference between an elopement and a micro wedding is? Let me help you demystify it!

Elopement

This type of wedding often involves a private marriage ceremony with just the couple and a witness or two. Many couples are drawn to elope because they do not like the stress of pleasing large numbers of guests and the expectations that come with a traditional wedding. Elopements put the emphasis squarely on the couple and their love story. Decisions can be made based solely on the couples preferences. And this is where things get interesting and FUN. Eloping allows for more creativity. For my own elopement, we helicoptered to the top of a glacier, where we held our ceremony. If you can dream it, we can help you make it happen.

Micro-Wedding

Like an elopement, a micro wedding involves a personalized, intimate wedding ceremony. The difference is that couples invite their closest family and friends. Micro Weddings often retain many of the traditional elements and structure of a conventional wedding but on a much smaller scale. This is a good choice for those who prefer quality over quantity. A micro-wedding allows couples to invest in high-quality services and experiences for themselves and their guests. From gourmet dining to exquisite floral arrangements and top-notch entertainment, the focus can shift from accommodating a large number of guests to providing an exceptional experience for a select few.

Can’t Decide?

Can you mix the two? Yes, you CAN. I did. For my own wedding, we helicoptered to the top of a glacier where we held our ceremony. and then hired a chef to create a coursed dinner at a private mountainside home where we celebrated with our closest friends and immediate family.
