Fall Engagement Photography Session Near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

With crisp air, vibrant colors, and fewer crowds, fall is one of my absolute favorite seasons for engagement photoshoots in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. If you haven’t experienced North Idaho in the fall, you are in for a treat—the forest truly puts on a show, with trees transforming into brilliant shades of amber, orange, and gold. One of my favorite sights is when the larches turn bright yellow, the fog rolls in, and the mountains reflect off the lake, adding a moody, enchanting feeling.

If you’re dreaming of fall colors as the backdrop of your engagement photos, be sure to book early! September and October are my busiest months - I’m often balancing late-season weddings with engagement sessions for the next year’s couples, making these months a whirlwind. If you want to work with the best Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer, book now.

September and October have become my busiest months as a wedding photographer and videographer in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Why Engagement Sessions are a MUST

Engagement sessions are important because they give you and me a chance to meet before the wedding. They let you see how I work and interact with you. We will do a mix of movement-based poses and traditional poses. The movement-based poses tend to look more candid. When you see your gallery, you will know exactly what you prefer. This is extremely important to know before we head into your wedding day.

Advice from a Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer - 5 Ways to use your Engagement Photos

My couples have been so creative in using their engagement photos. Here are my top five favorites:

  1. Create a painting from an engagement photo and have your wedding guests sign it in place of a guest book. Etsy is full of artists waiting to help.

  2. Using the engagement photos on your wedding website. No more blurry selfies.

  3. Use the ring photo when you get it insured.

  4. Use your favorite engagement photo on your save-the-date cards.

  5. Add them to your wedding album. It is a beautiful way to kick off the album and helps with storytelling.
